ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

So I'm playing Thalore Doomed in Nightmare RogueLike and I'm on my way to the west so I would say the hardest part is over and I'm just stomping Reknor when suddenly I die and I'm not even sure if I really did sleep for some turns or the game bugged somehow?
It's like he slowed time and took 4 shots while It just auto skipped my turn for 4 turns in a row?

So what happened? This guy starts attacking me, I use the healing infusion and take 1 step forward and suddenly huge fps drop and game saved you're dead?

it might or might not have been a bug. first thing you should ALWAYS do, when you notice that there is something wrong with the enemy, SCAN IT. right-click "examine the creature" look for suspicious skills/tallents. i think it for ssome reason had ridiculously high global speed. like 350% (bows are usually faster so its not quite 400%).

You fought a Skirmisher Rare. He hit you with an array of talents like Kneecaper and Noggin Knocker. Kneecapper and Noggin Knocker would have applied effects such as Pin, Slow, and Stun to your character - the combination of these effects would have destroyed your movement speed, and some of your global.

Fear the Skirmisher, or it will destroy you.

yeah, i just unlocked and created a character. there is a talent, which at lvl1 let you shot 3 time at once, with 3 writeen as number, and not word. so in higher lvl it probably can shot 4 a turn easly. "kneecapper" is the clue.

Ok I'll be especially scared of that thumping sound from now on, not that it gave me any time to get scared tho..I also couldn't see him but yea I guess he slowed me and he had arround 200% speed. Thanks for the heads up guys
