[1.2.3] Duplication Bug + Vanishing Items caused by [SOLVED]

I love playing the Alchemist with the golem but noticed a serious bug. If you go to the golem command screen and tell the golem you wish to change its equipment then click on any of the equipment (weapons, armor) it will duplicate the item and replace whatever was last in the slot (if anything). You can drag and drop it to the slot and then it won't duplicate/replace as well as if you switch to the golem and change the inventory as the golem it doesn't do the duplicate/replace bug.
Additionally, noticed things randomly vanish (usually the plot items/artifacts like the recall rod) when the duplicate bug hits.
This has been reproducible after a uninstall and re-install. The item is duplicated completely. If you take 1 of the armors back into your inventory then say add a gem to it, ALL the duplicated armors have the same gem.
Just screwed up my best game to date by forgetting about the bug when I got a drakeskin armor drop (while at level 12) and quickly had the golem switch to the new armor (causing a duplicate) and lost my plot item that lets me identify anything picked up... -Sad Panda-
Hopefully in the next revision you can find this bug and remove it please...
Side note: Is there a way to use just 1 gem when installing it to the golem instead of losing the whole stack of that gem?
