I ran a Sun Paladin, and upon getting kicked from the Slazish Fens to Trollmire (2), I had an escort hopelessly spawn adjacent to my character and the Naga boss.

I feel that this really shouldn't happen, since I didn't really have a chance to actually save the escort since I had a boss breathing down its neck the moment it appeared.

Perhaps just add a clause to escort appearing that it can't be the map after the Slazish Fens?

Not technically a bug, just very poor game design. Although you can, for the record, kill Lady Nashva and save the escort, but it's very difficult.

And a more elegant fix for this would be to change the rules for where a Celestial goes after Slazish Fens -- right now they appear in the second level of a random (public) T1 zone. By making them now appear in the first level of Trollmire, Scintillilating Caves, or Norgos' Lair, no more escorts would spawn while fighting Nashva. (Since in the current escort code it doesn't spawn escorts in the first zone of the levels you can start a brand new character in, to prevent level 1 characters from having to do an escort right out the gate.) It's a better fix than adding more code to the escort algorithms that would have no effect for all but two classes.
