ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

When the save box appears, the game now permanently hangs when the bar reaches 100%.
It sits there and continues to increase memory usage.
The only way I can exit is to pop open the Windows Task Manager and end the process

I redownloaded the game, installed it in a different directory . . . .and the same thing happens.
This just started happening today.

Help?

Windows 7, 64 bit
ToME 4, 1.1.5 version

Look in the te4_log.txt file for errors, which should be at the bottom of the file. (It gets rewritten each time you start the game.) The file is in the game's root dir.
