ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I talked with melinda and picked the options that made us go to a date at the beach. The text popped up that said something was wrong. Then the yaechs came and pulled us. Melinda died and came back to life i think. After that had happened i wanted to see if i couldve done something else so i shut down the game without saving or anything. When i opened it back up i am still at the beach before the invasion happened. But nothing is happening and it wont let me leave the map before the invasion happened. I cant leave without killing melinda myself and failing the quest.

Can somone pleeeeeease help me and tell me if there is a way i can fix this. This is the first time i have started this version of the melinda quest and i really wanted to see what would happen .

Also the character i was using was a yeek wrymic. Its probs the best one ive evered played and i dont want to lose that too!

If you need for details i can tell i what i can. Also im sorry if i posted this wrongly or anything i dont use forums that much and this is the first time ive ever posted.

It sounds like you guys broke it by savescumming. There is a fix for that kind of break but it requires that you be able to access the worldmap -- which you can't. So I suppose you just have to fail the quest. Kinda your own fault though -- scumming is discouraged.
