Dead from precog vision

Was going through the Bandit Lair and thanks to Foresight found a summoning trap. When I used Precognition to look at what the summoning trap would do I got murdered by a Cutpurse it summoned. It started to unfold the chronal structure but then shunted me to the Eidolon plane.

I don't have experience in dying in precog myself but the description warns you about it. Guess there might be a % chance for precog death to become real to prevent people from spamming it just every turn.

No the spell says that it cuts off prematurely if you die. By my reading it ends immediately and you are returned to before you cast it. It's mostly only practical for scouting things out anyway since there is no choice to keep the vision as reality and it takes up a turn to use that sticks with you after the revert. Looking at the description a bit more it says "on expire return to standard timeline" and "ends prematurely" so maybe it's a feature not a bug. Either way it could use some clarification on the in-game text so that people don't misunderstand the application of the spell. Also getting back to the file my hero now has an immobile, insensate doppleganger that can apparently be killed for experience and causes weird minor shifts in my health when I attack him. It went away after a couple turns though. Force quit to prevent saving so that devs can look at the file during the return from the Eidolon plane but while the doppleganger is still in place.

I've seen the warning that death can happen on the forums (and maybe the wiki?), and it being called a bug, but I'm not sure if that's official or not.

Here it is:
Important Notes
As of version 1.0.0, Precognition is a bit buggy around the "return to regular timeline upon death" aspect, with some instances working properly and others giving the standard death procedure. If you Precog into a life-threatening situation, canceling the spell early (right-click its status icon) before dying can help avoid nasty surprises.
Anti-Magicians can nullify the Precognition status despite it being listed as an "other:time" status and not specifically "magical." Regardless, if you spot an anti-magician while Precog scouting, you may want to consider canceling the ability early.
