Emperor wights thunderstorms continue after death

Even after clearing a room where there was an emperor wight, there are still periodic thunderstorms. I haven't seen anything in the code that could explain that, but it is something that I have noticed for a long time, and it seems to happen only with Emperor wights.
In general, it is not a big problem. It forbids autoexplore, but it is a minor annoyance. But it also prevents digging, which is more annoying, especially in vaults...

I also have noticed this. Thought it was just me.

Yes, it's a bug that has been there in probably every version of ToME4 i played that featured that monster.

Everytime the same situation , if in a room that start by being closed (vault or some closed rooms like the ones sometime generated in Dreadfell that are filled with a few undead) there's an emperor wight and you manage to kill it inside, its thunderstorm will never stop and you'll be under its effect everytime you enter inside that specific room.

I never got that bug if an emperor wight was met in normal dungeon configuration (corridors, open space, etc..).

You are right. It depends on the place where the Wight Emperor is killed. I did some experiments, and if he was in a room, but he is lured out of the room and killed in an open space, the thunderstorm does not continue after his death. And when killed in a closed place, there is always a remaining thunderstorm. So what count is the place of the dead, not the places that he visited.

For a long time, I have thought that probably this was a feature of Emperor Wights, not a bug. IMO, if it is feature, it is totally useless in terms of gameplay. But recently, I had 2 problems where this was removing any digging possibility, and, in that case, I definitely consider it as a bug.

I just died to this bug in v1.3.1 standing at the door of an undead room in dreadfell, exactly as described.

This shouldn't be possible anymore.
Do you have a log or anything?

I can because my character is still standing in the bugged zone. :)
What sort of log? Would you like a screenshot, the savegame, ...?

Some of the combat log would be good.

I let myself die from it so that I could show you the part saying the emperor wight was to blame. (screenshot attached)

Details straight from my save folder:
module_version = {1,3,1}
addons = {'randventurer-class', 'hz-escorts', 'items-vault', 'zomnibus'}

I wouldn't expect any of those addons to be messing with the actBase functions. But I also don't see how a dead actor is calling a sustained talented.

This doesn't sound like a dead actor is doing it, it sounds like the issue where too many things try to be spawned in one spot and the extras kind of exist in limbo. That causes emperor wight lightning tomfoolery.

Hrm, I guess that could do it.
