Grand Corrupter immune to the Way [1.1.5]

If you win the game with Triumph of the Way, but helped the Grand Corrupter along the way, the win message still includes the part about the Grand Corrupter soon posing a threat to Maj'eyal. Since the first ending message states that only Angolwen citizens were able to resist the Way, this doesn't make sense.

This has unfortunate implications about citizenship of Grand Corruptor, and extreme hypocrisy of Angolwen.

Not necessarily. Perhaps the blight inside him from his mad experiments infects the way, and causes the mass insanity of every being connected to it, effectively causing untold destruction across the world.
To use an analogy, Like Tainting the Source in the Wheel of Time novels.

C'mon, Grand Corruptor is just n00b, who barely managed to take over his home city after years of preparations. Have he really become that good so quickly? I mean, sure, Linaniil may have been able to come up with some way to overcome influence of The Way (after all, she was the one behind sorcerers to certain extent), but who would have helped GC? If this is not bug, but canon turn of event, did Urh'Rok personally give guy his blessing?

Where do you get the impression that Linaniil was behind the sorcerors?

Despite the Grand Corruptor using Fearscape, I don't believe he gets any power from Urh'Rok.
Corruptor is a bit of a mishmash of various corrupt power sources.

What do you mean? She is the
supreme archmage of the last remaining sorcerers' city and education center. Endgame text makes it obvious, that there isn't a single greater center of power in entire Maj'Eyal, capable of standing up to The Way. She is
literally "the one behind sorcerers". At least, their education, that is.
Anyway, let's get back to the topic. So is Grand Corruptor really capable of taking over Elvala supposedly after it was filled with Way mooks, is he a citizen of Angolwen (which is not entirely impossible, IMO) or is it just a bug?

Conspiracy theories never work out.

Although not visible to outside observes, the spellhunt broke Linaniil's spirit to the point that she now is devoting all of her energies to wreaking revenge on Maj'eyal. Her two-pronged strategy involves sending the sorcerers to awaken the ancient God to scour the earth from existence, and in case they fail, sending the Grand Corrupter on a secret mission to destroy Zigur and afterwards, all of Maj'eyal.
I like it
