ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I have reported this on the beta, some characters will not let you buy the misc special item at urthols emporium.. it freezes the game, then my computer says the game is not responding.
I say some characters because others have let me buy special misc items but sometimes I will never have the option because it kicks me out of game :/

Seriously, does anyone bother to check if a bug is already reported?
