ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I went into the lost man dream and spoke to every yeek. The last yeek, which I suspect would have been the wife, just disappeared in a sort of blood animation. I've now explored the whole area, opened every door, checked the fringe, and the wife is nowhere to be found. I'd have no problem just dying to get out, but I can't even attack myself to die. It seems as though I'm stuck in the dream now.

Is there any way I can salvage my character? It's the highest one I've had (by far), and I'd very much like to continue with it. Thanks.

Known bug, not fixed yet AFAIK, but it is possible to attack yourself, just hit 'm' and hotkey your attack. That's how I got through it.

I tried binding attack to a key and clicking on myself, but nothing happens when I do. Am I doing something wrong?

Dunno. I think my process was to click the hotkey in the toolbar, then Enter to self-target, you should then get the "Are you sure" popup.

Self targeting will be fixed in 1.0.6, but for now, rather than clicking, you need to use the hotkey bound to attack, select yourself, confirm, and it may work.

Are you using any addons, btw? I'm pretty sure there used to be a couple that broke dreams.

I finally was able to kill myself. For some reason, using the attack button (that I bound to a key from the 'm' menu) and clicking on myself wouldn't work, even though i got the "are you sure" prompt. Hitting attack, and then hitting enter, however, worked. Not sure why that is...

I'm not using any addons. Haven't tweaked the game in any way.
