ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

After completing the lumberjack thing (Insane Roguelike) I left the village.

Instead of coming out at the entrance to the village, my character appeared in an ocean tile on the right side of the map in the Far East.
I can't move, can't recall (haven't gotten to the fortress yet), can't do anything.

Is there any way of fixing this?

That's very strange, indeed. Do you have the game log for the session when you appeared in the ocean?

The answer to your question is that yes you can fix this if you're willing to invalidate your character by going through the lua console. Of course it would be better to figure out how it happened in the first place and make sure it doesn't happen again.

Where do I find the game log?

I don't want to ruin my character. I'm trying to beat Insane to unlock the new difficulty.
