So I had a hunch the orcs wouldn't check the golem for the staff of absorption, so I handed it to him.
Sure enough, the orcs apparently took a staff that I didn't have, but let the staff of absorption on my golem.

Just wondering what they mistook for the real staff.

"I'd swear this is a sword but our script says he has the staff and nothing else looks as much a staff as this two-handed whacker. Let's take this."

There's an off-color joke here, but I think just saying that gives it away to everyone...

Question is, what happens if you fail Eruan, since they clearly 'don't have the staff'?

Absorbing power with a two-handed whacker is one for the blooper reel, definitely.

But hey, at least we now know who wields the staff in FlarePusher's family.
