[1.0.4] Invisible Arcane Blade in Derth Arena

Lately, for some reason, the arena arcane blade has been spawning invisible. And I don't mean game-mechanic invisible. I can't see the tile and I can't get a mouse-over popup. He reappears after a few turns (if he isn't already dead), so I haven't bothered posting about it until now. Looking at the log, I don't see anything that would account for this. It apparently spawns normally. This is from my last (fatal) encounter:
