ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Took a step, saw a rare, popped a lua error, followed by dozens more. Then death message. Now, first of all, I'm not sure how turns passed when I was getting errors, but beyond that, I can't identify what exactly killed me. Notably, there's a talent by the name of 'Unlight' that doesn't appear in wiki pages, and that I don't have any memory of.

Firstly, if an error occurs inside a talent usage, it doesn't take a turn, so they can move again.

Secondly, Unlight is a reversed Illuminate in Arcanum.

Thirdly, the errors all claim something went wrong in the Trolls addon hooks.

It looks like you got strobed to death by a rare troll.
Illuminate, Unlight, Illuminate, Unlight.

Then for some reason you kept trying to spam Flux and Chaos Vortex while dead.
And then sradac complains about getting a rare alchemist naga.

I'll check my stuff when I get home. But it might be an error in Trolls or a compatability issue.

Flux and chaos vortex automatically display error messages about not enough health everytime I die. Or possibly everytime I drop below the HP threshhold. That's been constant all game.

And I did not remember unlight, apologies. And yes, it was a troll rare, but I've fought many troll rares with no issue, so I'm not sure that they're at issue. Not sure you are either, I'm totally flummoxed. Hence, it's in general bug reports instead of Trolls.

What effects/item properties did you have on you relating to stuff that triggers when you take damage?
I'm pretty sure the error was in that bit somewhere.
Would be useful to know if the troll had phantasmal shield or phantasmal mirror active, but I guess you didn't get time to see.

Beyond that, only 'on hit' effect was blight damage from tooth of the mouth. I did have damage affinity to darkness, courtesy of umbraphage, not sure if that would interact with the same parts of the code, and darkness damage was coming into play, but I think it all started at once, rather then after he started the darkness attack.

I don't see the extra corrupted elemental talents on that page.
Did they fail to unlock, or is the page just not showing them?

First set of corrupted talents unlocked at 5 points in the blighted tree, the second set unlocked on the higher schools at 10 points, but I didn't invest in any of them. I wasn't hugely impressed with the earth ones at first glance, and had too much else to invest in to think about experimenting with them.
