Item Vault not working correctly

Whenever I try to store an item in the vault from the Sher'tul Fortress, I get this message:
Error while transferring (item) to the online item's vault, please retry later.
This happens every time I've tried over a couple of days. Sometimes, despite showing that message, it actually goes through. When I exit and reload the character, I can see that my character no longer possesses the item and it's in the vault. But most of the time, it doesn't work.

I got that "please try again later" message when my item vault was full... I bought more space and it worked. (IMHO the message out to say something like "item vault full, please buy some space or take out an item".)
I've put items in and taken items out between the 4th and today.

This seems to be the issue! I took out an item and was able to put one in. I missed the message from darkgod about the item vault's capacity being based on how much you've donated. IMO, there really should be a more specific error message for when the vault is full, as well as perhaps a display of the vault's capacity somewhere.

Yeah my vault might be full too. I also did not know about this limit. How many items do you get for what donation amount?

One slot per 2 Euros last I heard. Minimum donation being 5 euros, I think it's rounded down to 2 slots, but I don't use the vault (too cheaty) so I can't confirm. Not sure if it keeps track of 'half values' though.
If one donated 5 euros, got 2 slots (rounded down, or 3 rounded up) then donated another 5, do you have 4 slots (2 rounded down each time) 5 slots (proper amount), or 6 slots (3 rounded up each time.) in your vault?

Then it is exactly right, my vault is full and has the correct amount of slots for my donation.

I've been playing the game for about 2 weeks and the item vault has never worked for me. I always get the error mentioned above. It's not a capacity issue since I've never successfully put anything in it. (Unless my capacity is zero).
I bought the game on Steam.

Same here. Bought the game today on steam and can't even put my first item into the vault. Any help, please? This is one of the main reasons I bought the game.

Did you successfully link your te4.org account with your steam account? (In other words, is your ingame name in the chat green, or still white?) The item storage isn't handled on steams end, if your game account doesn't recognize that you've 'purchased', it may not yet understand that you have vault space.
If you're successfully green ingame, then we can look at further options to resolve your problem.
