Hey all, just got my first winner as a Cornac Solipsist in exploration mode. I've gone into the Infinite Dungeon but it isn't letting me level up. Anything I can do to change this?

Play using the infinite500 addon. This allows characters who enter the ID from the main campaign, after winning, to continue leveling past 50. However, this does not help your current character, since you cannot add an addon to an existing character. I recommend getting the addon, and turning it on at all times for all characters from here on out.

Until DarkGod decides to incorporate that change into the main game, the Infinite500 addon remains the only solution.

Ah that explains it, thanks! Though I'm a bit sad to leave that character behind :( Oh well hope DarkGod decides to incorporate it into game.

Thanks again. :)

Just use the infinite500 addon on all further characters, until he does. It also adds a number of other things to the ID, especially for characters that start there. (Characters that start there can get the regular 9 escorts, spread across the first hundred floors or so, randomly) Fixes Lichform so it can be used in the ID, adds a few specific vaults, and I think it recently added a method to get artifacts for your saved up gold, though how it's tripped I don't recall. (Either it was added, or it's in the next version.) Also tweaks the potion of martial prowess (An ID only item) to grant not only the armor training tree, and the shoot/reload commands, but also the other newly purchasable skill trees (Specifically, Mindstar Mastery, and Staff Mastery).

All in all, it's an addon well worth using, both when playing the ID campaign, and the main one.

If you're willing to manually edit your character's save file, you can add the Infinite 500 addon to an existing game without invalidating it.

With the addon installed, go to the character save directory, and open the "desc.lua" file. Edit the line that starts with "addons =" by adding 'Infinite500' (include the single quotes) to the list inside the braces (it's comma separated if there is more than one addon listed).

From the character load screen, Infinite 500 should be listed as an addon for that character.

This procedure won't work for all addons, but I500 should be OK. Unfortunately, a character that has already entered the I.D. from the main campaign has already been changed by the game and adding the addon won't affect further leveling at that point.

Any text editor should open it.

Some swear by Notepad++, others just use the built in notepad in windows. either works.

Sounds like an awesome workaround. Does using addons interfere with Infinite Dungeon achievements?

*looks at the walking dead thread*

In what way? Addons don't stop achievements, unless they break validation. As long as you validate (because they're uploaded properly to the te4.org site, or steam) achievements will function.

Huh, I thought that was changed.
