Broken Save in Shadow Crypt

While I was fighting myself at the end of the Shadow Crypt for the first time, the game got really messed up. The moment I should have killed myself, which would have unlocked doomed and brought me to level 40, the game flipped out, with shadows phase dooring all over the place while the real me was nowhere to be seen. Eventually the phase dooring stopped, but I still had no control over myself(I'm not even there, that's my shade!) Strangely I was able to chat and try to save the game, and I never got any actual lua errors either. The game appeared to save, but would not quit itself; I ended up killing it with task manager. Now, the save doesn't show up anymore. I was playing on 1.0.1 with a 1.0.0 save, if that helps.
I really hope this can be fixed, that was my first char to make it to the east and I was doing really well, found a great amulet, was just about to unlock doomed...please help.
