I've had two games where I just can't get into the stores in Last Hope.

I think it's when Derth becomes cloudy before your first visit, possibly when Derth is saved before your first visit. Could be if the merchant is saved.

Did you crash or otherwise force-quit while in Last Hope? Save outside town, go into your save folder, and delete zone-town-last-hope.teaz

yeah my game has been crashing a couple of times...

Tends to happen while it's minimised, probably a separate bug to report, but I thought that I could live with it, since the game autosaves SO often.

I play offline too, I thought that could have something to do with it.

I'll try your fix.
