I saw you drown! Nope, just an illusion.

So I decided to play along with the Grand Corrupter and destroy Zigur. After successfully doing so, before I left the map, the Grand Corrupter "drowned." I got a quest message saying that after destroying Zigur, I disposed of the Grand Corrupter in the aftermath. I saw the Grand Corrupter drown--he had retreated backwards away from the halfling boss into the water (even though the boss wasn't even targeting him; she was focusing me the whole time). After the halfling died, a little while later (while resting) I was interrupted by previously mentioned message and saw the space the Grand Corrupter was on in the water was now empty--no loot, no invisible people, nothing. I was worried that he may have been assigned to drop a trueart, so I decided to head back to the spellblaze scar and see if I could find a loot pile (or anything) there.
When I got there, I found the Grand Corrupter standing in his usual spot, quite alive and well. Before I had left Zigur though, I decided to kill all the followers still there for giggles. When I got to the Grand Corrupter, one of his ally mages attacked me. I dispatched of him in a turn or two, and whereupon the Grand Corrupter now drew aggro. However, no matter what I did, the Grand Corrupter was invincible. He seemed to be able to take damage from other actors (or maybe just himself, not sure), because at one point he fearscaped me, was at 100% hp, and then after coming out of fearscape, he had 102% hp (lolwut?), and then a short time later I noticed him at 97% hp, so something must've damaged him, but I combed the game message log and couldn't find how or what damaged him (I know I found where in the log it would've happened too).
To sum it up, don't make the Grand Corrupter invincible after the quest OR make it so he can't ever draw aggro. While he didn't pose any threat to me (I myself was a corrupter, so his fearscape only served to heal me as well, and bone shield prevented any significant hits he could dish out), I imagine others may not be so fortunate...
