[1.0] Kill ambush boss, then die and game over???

I killed boss in ambush, then died, and the game ended (on roguelike). Every other time, you wake up after the ambush. Is it because I killed Urkis?
That seems very strange to me. I would have just exited the ambush if I'd known that.
I don't think I've ever killed him and then not survived before.

Yeah, the orcs won't spare you if you kill their leader.

Yeah, the orcs won't spare you if you kill their leader.
Seriously? I had no idea! The lightning mage that messes up Derth? So you should only finish that quest after the Dreadfell?

Wrong boss. There is a named orc in the ambush. If you kill him the rest of the orcs will kill you in return.

Whatever gave you that idea, did you think that Urkis was Saruman and these Orcs were his Uruk-hai?
