ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

After killing the 2 bosses I exit the tower, and meet the herald of Angolwen. He says he will make a portal. I click on the dialogue, and ToME hangs - the screen becomes black. But I noticed there was a progress bar for saving earlier, so I thought it was going to be OK. I killed the process and restarted.

I load the game - no portal, the herald won't talk to me, I can't enter the tower, can't talk to the elder. There is no farportal to the East. I try using the Orb of Many Ways anyway, and the game says "there is no portal here".

Regretfully, I wasn't able to capture the message log in the terminal. Either way, broken savegames shouldn't happen. I'm attaching the archive with my savegame (.t-engine/4.0/tome/save/Doom_knight), maybe someone could help me and fix it ?

UPDATE:

Apparently the Reknor portal still works, and I can travel back and forth through Reknor and Sunwall. I now have 2 Orb of Many Ways, though. It's not a big problem considering I Can Carry The World.
