The Item Vault doesn't work for me.

I'm a donator and I'm on the latest version, as far as I know, but despite multiple re-logins and just about everything else anyone could recommend, it just doesn't want to cooperate. The dialogue options for the Vault pop up, but for some reason it shows me as having nothing in my inventory that I can put in there, even after going through all of my inventory tabs.
Is there some sort of really, really obvious thing I'm missing here?

Game validates and cheat mode is not active.
EDIT: Occasionally the game doesn't connect right to my profile on loading my character, though, and I end up playing a bit offline. Could this have made the game flag my character as a potential cheater and blocked access to the item vault?

Actually I think I just noticed what the issue is. The character I was trying to access the Item Vault with doesn't appear to exist when I check my ToME account online, so I made a new one... and he does indeed appear to exist online, and I bet he could access the vault once I got him there.
Is there any way to "force" a character to be noticed by the account itself or is that one guy just a lost cause?
