ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I hit level 4 of the Old Forest, ran into a lost sun paladin and hit Wrathroot immediately afterwards. Subsequently she seemed to contract a bad case of existential crisis. It seems obvious that it has something to do with Wrathroot landing an iceblock on me and causing her to appear as an enemy, but the dialogue strikes me as a bit bewildering.

ETA: Caused no LUA error - forgot to specify - so fairly noncritical in any event.

EATA: Actually, the same thing happened again (sun paladin, Wrathroot, ghoul PM rather than cornac bulwark) and no such panic occurred. This may be because I escaped the ice sooner? That or I'm back to shrugging about an actual cause.

It's nothing... Wrathroot casting ice just created a mirror and she looked inside, seeing how ugly she was she panicked from her own reflection...

Which explains why escorts try ad hit your iceblock! GENIUS!

Also, this is so funny, it can't be a bug. it's hysterical. I vote for keeping it as is. Unless it's harmful enough to generate lua errors or something, which you didn't mention.

Yeah, no LUA error popup or anything. ...I'd lean towards keeping it for raw humor value too, but figured it merited a mention.

Clearly, the only resolution to the above situation is to kill the target that she is complaining about

There is something funky going on with the NPC targeting code (not just with escorts). It's probably an easy fix, so hopefully we'll get it in the next release.
