ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

My item vault's current max limit is 3, and I put 3 items in it when I first reached it. Then the next day I withdrew an item and deposited another. The next day (today) I withdrew 2 and then tried to deposit something (note that all of this is one the same character). When I went to the deposit item menu, there was nothing showing for me to be able to deposit. So I waited about an hour, came back, and tried again. Still not working. So I decided to remove the last item in the vault and try to deposit again. Still not working. So I waited an hour again. Still not working. I've tried logging out and logging back in, I've tried closing the game and restarting, I've ensured the add-on is enabled multiple times; nothing works!

I've also recently encountered this bug, for which I was forced to use the cheat console to fix the glitch, and the vault was working fine until then, and now that I've done that (I've disabled the console since then), I can't use it properly anymore. I don't know if that's a coincidence or not, though.

P.S. when I try to withdraw, it says 0/3 items, so it seems that it knows I have vault access, it's just not letting me deposit anything anymore.

Won't activating cheating mark your game as invalid, so you can't connect to your online profile with that game? I presume the item vault feature only works when you're connected to your online profile...

I deactivated the console after fixing the invulnerability bug. If that prevented me from using the item vault, why was I still able to withdraw the items that were still in my vault? I just can't deposit anything anymore.

Oh, good. It's easy to create any artifact (or modify existing items) while cheat mode is active, so I would expect the online vault to reject items from characters that have cheated (even if cheating was just to fix something that borked).

Well, that's unfortunate. I wish it would've been clear about that before I fixed the bug, or else I would've deposited the stuff I wanted to put in there before I fixed the bug.

Yeah, I understand your frustration. DarkGod is the only one with the power to "uncheat" a character, so maybe if you ask him nicely...

Alternatively, perhaps the item vault should allow cheat items, but also mark any character that gets a "cheat" item as cheated.

How would I go about asking him? I'd REALLY like to put that salmon rarity hat I found that gives "Telepathy: All" in my vault, as well as this one "floating" sword and a mindstar I didn't want but accidentally bought for 4k.

Oh, and I agree with that idea on vault allowing cheat items but having a "cheat" icon on them.
