ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hey, guys. I just started up a paradox mage, and got the anorithil escort right off the bat. Wanting the excellent light tree, I naturally chose it as my reward... but now that I'm level ten and have a category point, selecting the Light tree just turns it from grey to gold/yellow. I don't actually get a list of talents.

Anyone know what's up?

Try hitting the + next to the name of the category.

That is intended behavior to show you that you purchased the tree. It is yellow to indicate that you can withdraw your category point by right clicking. try left clicking on the + next to the tree. If you have at least 12 magic you should be able to put generic points into the first talent.
