ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Apparently this backup guardian doesn't spawn randomly, do you have to accept the quest from last hope first or can you just go here and kill him randomly to get the stuff first and then give it to the guy.

He should spawn on the last floor of Reknor as soon as you get back from the east, if I'm remembering everything properly...

Critter can occasionally spawn in the special place (to avoid spoilers, I guess...) of that level, though, iirc. It's led a lot of people (including myself, once or twice before I cottoned on) to think Lithy didn't spawn.

Try digging around to the southeast. I think that room should either be removed or set like a vault or something. It confused me too. Kinda underwhelming for a secret room, too.

+ that a couple of times Lithy and a couple of orcs have been merrily hanging around the secret room together, while from the lore it would be obvious that the former would kill and eat the latter..
