[1.0] Aether Beam on random elites

I'm not 100% sure if this is a bug, or something that should instead be reported in the insta-gib thread but...

I've noticed that when adventurers hit me with aether beam I tend to take a lot of damage. Latest character took 8 hits of 100+ damage at level 31, which seems a bit unreasonable. I think (but I'm not certain) the skill was cast on my tile which should mean the skill does only 10% damage to me with no chance to silence. Unless I was just very unlucky (my aether beams never hit the same guy 8 times when I don't cast it on their tile) I'm pretty sure the skill was doing full damage to me despite my standing on the origin.

My stone warden was instagibbed in Daikara by some archmage giant with this. I'm all for variety but unavoidable instakills like that should be limited somehow. Some traps can have similar effect.

increase duration of the trap, reduce its rotation speed so you actually have a chance to dodge it?

Honestly I feel like aether beam is just a really bad talent. Sure it does a lot of damage but it is way too situational to be useful. I'd much rather just drop an aether breach and be done with it.

And this next one im pretty sure is a bug. even though it says it does 10% dmg to anything standing on the trap, it can never do it. Not once have I ever witnessed an enemy walk on my spinning beam trap and NOT have it vanish instantly.

Yes, the same thing happens when you use it. It's done that for quite some time.
