ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

My Arcane Blade just defeated Rak'shor without ever seeing him or indeed damaging him. Now, I did upgrade this char from RC3 to RC4, but I killed Fyrik the Fyros just fine. Maybe it is a bug induced by the upgrade, but so far I have noticed nothing else out of the ordinary. I performed the upgrade while I was sitting in Gates of Morning with minimal effects/AI states. I had Rak'shor and the Race Through Fire left in the Far East. I raced first and fought the necromancer second.

I will attach snippets from the log from just before I entered the level. From what little I understand, it appears that some of the other enemies on the level decided to kill Rak'Shor for me. If you need more from the log, I have the rest.

I was using Track a fair amount, but never glimpsed Rak'shor.

Still not really sure about this, but I did find a bunch of undead fighting a named elite alchemist necromancer near where the Orb of Undeath was on the ground. Not useful info, really, but evocative, yes?
