[RC2] TAR-DIS

The Temporal Augmentation Robe - Designed In-Style has the ability to essentially cast the temporal warden's Damage Smearing ability, and has the same text. The text reads:
"...This spell takes no time to cast, and..."

Using this item in battle clearly shows that a turn does pass when using it. People on the IRC informed me that it was because items always take a turn to use. However, the description is really misleading, so either that clause ought to be deleted or an exception ought to be made. (It's the TARDIS. It gets to cheat on normal rules about taking time :P)

P.S. It wasn't till I wrote this forum subject until I realized the acronym joke.

It doesn't take a lot to notice that a turn passes, so it's a mistake you shouldn't be making more than once. I'm not sure that deserves a change.

Btw, description is not misleading, it's the description of the ability. A lot of items have abilities that are instant and they take a turn to use (gloves of the juggernaut is a common example). Maybe there could be a "warning: items always take a turn to use" on every usable item, but soon enough we'll end up with warning labels on toothpicks.

Or, alternately, one could just remove that tiny little clause from each item that uses a instant ability. Why add a warning label when you could just remove something misleading?

Soon enough we'll end up with no lies at all. And that'd be pretty good.
