ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Game presents a lua error upon dying, will not bring up 'death menu' (last life), and will not allow me to use my blood of life from said menu. Game continues to take auto-turns after my 'death', monsters seem to still perceive me as present, occasionally attacking my tile, potentially harming whatever is standing there. Regardless, The character cannot die, and I don't want to delete character for fear of losing the 3 unlocks I earned on this playthrough...

This sounds like a serious bug, however, your unlocks (races, classes) are not tied to the character and should be safe.

Apparently fxed in svn. You had used the rune of the rift right?

I do believe I had, actually. Didn't even get to try it yet. Does that mean I shouldn't use that next time around? Or are there other conditions required to trip the bug?
