ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Anytime I enter the world map or enter a level from the world map, the game saves twice. When 'save in background' is enabled, it shows the yellow saving bar and then gives the saving popup. (probably because it registers an attempt to save while it's already saving)
When it's disabled, it'll show the popup twice.

When I entered the bearscape it even saved thrice.
