High level Yeek Summoner. Spoiler alert?

Greetings. I wasn't entirely sure where this was supposed to go, but I seem to have run into a bug so it seems appropriate here. Apologies if I'm mistaken.

To cut to the chase, I'm playing version Beta36 due to a lull in my playing this game and the fact I've yet to unlock everything and don't want to start over yet in a new version.

My current (well, one out of seven) character is a by now level 44 Yeek Summoner. He's the second character of mine that killed the master and the first to survive the subsequent ambush, the first to loot the ancient elven ruins and the first to clear out Reknor and make the passage East.

In short, I really like this character. Problem is, I don't seem to be triggering any of the Far East quests I've been expecting. Zelmekkys only gives me the option to leave conversation and the guardian-lady of the Gates of Morning has exhausted her conversational options as well. I can only repeatedly ask her about the town but she has already referred me to Zelmekkys and he's having none of it.

In my despair, I went to wandering the countryside and I've finished all three non-quest dungeons (and their extensions) by now. Kudos for the Glory of the Flooded Cave, the Nastiness of the Breeding Pits and the unnervitude of the Shadow Crypt but I can't go anywhere anymore. :(

I tried, hoping against hope, to go back West so I could finally attempt to clobber Celia and her minions but those exits are blocked too so by now the only thing I can do is farportal expeditions and they don't serve much of a purpose if there's no level or equipment to strive for. :( (Admittedly, fighting a Necromancer Giant Sandworm Tunneler was impressive, frustrating and immensely satisfying.)

Is there are any way to continue the storyline or is my character doomed to retirement with his doting wife?

I tried soothing the pain by making newer characters and have put off making an account to ask this question for quite a while but having to re-re-re-redo the sandworm lair and such gets a bit dreary, no matter how amusing I may find the innovative characters.

Zemekkys should have told you about the backdoor to Vor Armory, which is the spot you need to go on that quest. That might be throwing you-it looks like it's part of Vor Pride and just a second entrance, but it is actually an optional secondary dungeon.

However, if you haven't gotten those quests at all, for whatever reason-and, given that the version you're on is eight versions ago, there might be an old bug you have triggered that I don't recall/know about-you should be able to just walk into the Prides and start killing enemies. You don't have to be told to mop up Orcs, that I'm aware of, you should be able to just do it.

Hah, thanks.

I looked at the wiki and it said something about there being a possible bug that could be caused by shutting down after arriving in the tunnels East for the first time and that's what happened here. The bug would prevent Zemekkys from speaking to me, so I guess I ran into exactly that bug. I was hoping there was some sort of work-around or fix for it.

Believe me, if the Prides were visible, I'd be busy beating the snot out of them but I guess in this version all of that is triggered by talking to Zemekkys.

Everything there is in the East are the tunnels I arrived through, the Gates of Morning and the three dungeons I mentioned in the first post. Auto-explore doesn't take me anywhere new so it's not as if all the other dungeons are hiding in some corner of the map. :(

Oh well, I'll have to decide whether to continue with my newer characters or maybe just download a newer version instead.

Get a newer version, unlocks are automagically unlocked when you use a newer version.

Yeah, I guess that's my option then.

I'll see how far I get with my other characters. My ghoul berserker is fairly amusing so far.
