bugged mindstar keeps gaining energy [b42]

Playing a mindslayer, I've come across a copy of the tier 4 drake-based mindstar artifact - Wyrm's Eye or something? It's obviously intended for wyrmics, and has a fairly nifty power that costs 40 out of 40/40 energy to throw a wyrmic-style breath weapon, and occasionally cycles between damage types. All well and good except that it doesn't stop at 40 - so you rest a while and possibly go digging and you wind up with an artifact that costs 40 out of 653/40... and so on. I take it off, it still recharges. I drop it, it still recharges. I'm afraid I may have to sac the thing just to keep it from breaking the game, in case something horrible happens at some rollover point - a shame, since even without the abusive breath weapon breakage, it's still the best mindstar I've got.
