2. What happened next in the message log was me hitting myself with around 388 damage from Aether breach which I walked straight in. How the hell can I do that when I have 70% arcane res and hit for as much on those without resistance?

Do you have much arcane resist penetration? The level 22 skill in Aether tree gives you 50%, which would let you hit yourself pretty well even through the massive resist boost from Disruption Shield going down.

Didn't have it yet, just hit 21. Pretty sure no items gave it too, all were +arc damage.

My guess would be that you got caught in an order of operations oddity-Breach was constantly going off every turn, exactly one turn after your last turn(which presumably was 100% speed), so it somehow proc-ed a hit between your shield going down and the timed effect getting taken into account(then the timed effect was taken into account before you died).

Since the hits from Aether Breach come from a timed effect...yeah. Basically you got hit by the effect from the timed effect that was on you earlier, before the one that was on you later. I think.

If that's the case, it's not truly a bug...something has to come first in the timed effect order. It'd be like expecting a regen to kick in before a damage timed effect, when the damage timed effect would drop your life enough to kill-not unreasonable, but at the same time, you probably shouldn't do that unless you have to.

Aether breach damage overloaded my disruption shield. I received the damage enough to kill me(there was one hit only in message log and it was the last one, I thought it ended already), but only if it ignores my resistance for some reason.
In char dump, both in game and on site, my HP was already in minus while my resist is still at max 70%. So either the dump isn't showing it right or the damage overloading the shield ignores resistance and goes as pure.

I believe, but I can't be 100% certain, that the last hit that finally puts your disruption shield over the top ignores your shield altogether, hits you for full damage, and then your shield explodes (giving you the arcane resistance that would have saved your life).
