ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Tome continuously crashes when left for too long on inventory screen without any interaction. Also when loading areas on occasion. This is a new crash that I have not had happen to me on previous updates. Any suggestions?

I also had some crashes when starting the program. I select a game to load, then the games crashes and it restarts immediately and works properly.
And I have had a couple of time the same behavior in some situations when loading a zone. The game state is not lost, so it is not a big problem, but it is a bug that I never had in the previous versions.

Unfortunately my crashes have resulted in having to restart zones that I've cleared before autosave kicks in and so lose all progress from last autosave. I'm aware that regular saving on each level of a zone will eliminate problem it is a nuisance, for example, having cleared twisted peak and it's boss with no life-loss then to have game freeze just as examining loots and force me to start from scratch - annoying at the very least!
