[b42] library insane loading time and various odd delaying

I have been playing with a lot of characters in b42 lots of them were killed, i won with one (human brawler), won an arena 30 waves (dwarf bulwark), and recently started playing with Yeek Archimages due to wanting to unlock the mindslayer, after a lot of them got killed (they have so few health) i managed to keep one alive to get the unlock and even managing to get the Sher'Tul fortress, though he's on his last leg due to the amount of lives he lost being 1 shot several time (so few health, poor little things).

And since i started playing with those yeeks archimage i noticed a very odd problem : everytime i destroy an elite or an unique or a boss (every monster that generate special items on death) , there's a 3 or 4 seconds delay during which the game is basically frozen.
In my previous games, and even in the game i won, this never happened, or if it did the delay was not really noticable.

The same as when i have my yeek walking over the loot generate by a boss, there's a delay too before the loot is actively taken and the game resume.

And now the loading time, as i said it's been a lot of characters i wasted in b42 and now my yeek archimage accessed the "Library of Lost Knowledge" and the loading time was simply unbelievable, each % was taking 5 seconds (and sometime more) before displaying the collected lore since i started playing b42 , but still that's just text how can the loading time being insanely slow there ?

I've had similar delays, but only while my internet connection is on the fritz. I think it's trying to send or receive information from the main server and spends a little bit of time working on that before it realizes it can't.

It's possible, 90% of my games are offline.
But still the game i won was played exclusively offline and didn't displayed the kind of delay i observe currently, so there's something else that may be playing.
Though now that i think about it, up to the game i won i didn't logged in my online profile, but since then i did.
Could it be triggering some code that now continue to "call home" even if i'm not logged in my online profile ?
