My loading time when recalling to the world map is so much longer in b41 that windows thinks the game has stopped responding. This doesn't happen with a brand new character and someone in chat suggested that it starts happening after the Derth arena. This does seem the case with a new character I started to test this.

Same Problem for me. Ten to twenty seconds loading time and game doesn't respond. At first I thought it crashed.
Can't remeber if it started after the arena (which I played too). I'll test it with a new char and report back later.

edit: yeah, he's right. After finishing the arena quest in derth the loading time increases drastically

Hum very interresting, thanks for the info people. Please continue monitoring it and see if the arena is the only trigger. Maybe it's the lightning quest ? they happen nearly at the same time usualy

Will try that with a new character, but I don't think so. I started the arena quest at lvl 8 and made it to lvl 9 inside the arena. The "bug" starts as soon as you try to leave. It takes half a minute to get back to derth and after that, it happens every time you switch regions.


Edit: Ok, this time I got to Derth with lvl 7 and just wandered through town shortly, without speaking to anyone or going to a shop and left again. Got the problem too. So it might be the town itself.
After leaving town, world map loading takes much longer.

Did you spend the gained talent points while being inside the arena zone still ?

Edit: I got this with a fresh started Yeek too. On "Yeek Island". Leaving and re entering the Town of Irkkk worked fine right after the start, but at lvl 3, I wanted to leave the Ritch Grounds (sand lair) and got the loading bug there as well.

Roger, I get insane loading times without even going near Derth.

I too have often long loading times when returning to the worldmap from all kinds of locations. But I think its not always the case, will keep an eye out for it.

Starting getting huge loading times too... only after coming back from the East though.

I've been getting this too, I think. I've only played yeeks so far, but I first see it after beating the first dungeon and recalling (doesn't happen when first leaving the yeek village) and then keeps happening when leaving every zone/town (both when recalling and using <).

Also, haven't seen this mentioned yet, but for me the slowdown only occurs at "loading zone 100%".

You're right. But before the bug appears loading zone stops at 99%, forgot to mention that and that the particle effects on unvisited regions (this glitter stuff) get really fast right after the loading is done, for maybe half a second.
Somethings obviously floding the cpu with stuff and afterwards it tries to catch up with the game.

Disconnecting from the internet resolves the issue for me, so it must be some error with the online profiles.

I started getting the 100% load pause once I created an online account, so that has to be part of the problem.

But the Load/Save one-two shot when changing zones is still very long even without the 100% load pause.

Try the fix3 addon from the website
