ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Sometimes, when starting a new game, I get a Cornac Beserker instead of whatever race/class I requested. This seems to happen when starting a game with the same name as an already-existing save (and pressing 'Yes' at the resulting confirmation dialog). When this happens, I also don't get the initial level-up dialog.

No it's when you have cheat mode one and press enter witth the character's name field focused. It's a quick way to gen chars for debug

Ah, OK, thanks. (I've had cheat mode on since I have been debugging...)

So that's what's been happening...

I've found that it's a Higher Berserker, though.
