...so you can't sell them or transmogrify them. If this is intentional, could they at least just cost 0 so that we can get rid of them without just dropping them on the ground?

I'm imagining shopkeepers looking at you going:
"Eww. That's not right. Is that thing used? I'm pretty sure that's not just not right but illegal. Definitely not sanitary. No. I'm not even throwing it away for you. Take it away, I don't want to see it."

Lots of charms seem to have a negative gold price.
