[b38] Dark Vision does not allow you to see through darkness

This Doomed ability simply doesn't seem to work as advertised. After purchasing it, you are still unable to see through the darkness clouds you create (or any others for that matter).

This is a pretty major bug for the class' playability as it means that many of your spells break your feed, and you are unable to effectively use your darkness as a ranged defense as intended.

What is worse, most NPCs can see through it, making it doubly broken.

bump

I'm playing 1.2.3 and either the description is incorrect, or it doesn't work as indicated. I even added a cat point to get more darkness spawning and basically i can hardly see anything after a few turns of darkness.

can confirm, broken

Also, the "you have increased movespeed in darkness" dosen't actually do anything either

It is working fine for me. When im in darkness, my movement is faster (though you dont get +% movementspeed on your character page. It is still working though. Try it with cooldowns).

Also: When I am in darkness I can see outside exactly to the range it indicated in the tooltip.

I think the tooltip is just not good with wording and maybe you guys got it wrong. I'd call the visual effect confusing too but the effect itself is working.

Edit: Npcs do seem "too smart" shooting into darkness for me too... Just like they sometimes use aoe spells to hit you at range 11+ when you kited them for a very long time without getting into vision range (10) again. There is no possible way that they "know" where you are, if you changed directions during that time of running. Yet: they aim very precisely, too precisly for guessing.
I'd say that is a bug with tactical AI though as it is not specific for creeping darkness... but might also be an issue with your light radius.
