ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I jumped an adventuring party today on my return back from the East (by far my best char so far!) and one of them cast Fearscape on me, which I've never seen before.

Unfortunately, I seem to be stuck. I don't see any way out, just a little room with a bunch of painful lava. I walked around a while, it doesn't seem to be wearing off. What do I do?

You're supposed to kill the caster.

I'm not entirely clear what events caused me to be stuck in this little lava room. There's nobody else here, however.

Well, what's supposed to happen is that when the spell is cast, the caster and the target are sent to the fearscape, which ends up being a small room of lava and walls. The spell is actually a Sustain on the Caster, and when either of them die, or the sustain is deactivated for whatever reason, the survivor (or both if the sustain is shut off prematurely) are sent back to the normal map. Either there is a corruptor there that cast Fearscape on you, or something bugged out and you're stuck. If you're in adventure mode with lives left (or explorer mode), the Eidolon will send you back to the map proper, I believe, which, while a wasted life, is certainly better than a ruined character...

I actually just used my Blood of Life life shortly before this encounter, so it would mean deletion.

Is there some sort of code that I can type in to teleport me to Derth or something?

I saw another thread where Darkgod offered to teleport someone out of the Fearscape. That would be another great solution.

My 43 Nec is still in limbo. Anyone know how to get me unstuck?

Cheat mode (search for in wiki) -> cheat menu (must be keybound, maybe)-> change zone?
