ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Playing a Cornac Bulwark, did one level of the Trollmire before leaving to do Nargo's Lair. On return to the Trollmire I found a clone of my character when she was level 2, the clone isn't aggressive and doesn't move unless I switch positions with it. It prevents me from autoexploring or moving multiple squares at a time.

I took screenshots with me and the clone side by side, mousing over myself and the clone respectively.


Someone in the ingame chat told me this is a known bug, but that it was supposedly fixed in Beta 38. Obviously this isn't true, as I've doublechecked my game version and the bug is still occuring. If you need any other information, just reply and I'll post it or edit it in here.

e: Killing the clone resolved the issue. Haven't tried to reproduce it yet. Will do later.

Oh wow, I was getting the only move one square thing and thought it was my computer. Found a clone of mine sitting in a random corner of Derth though, after this post.

I've had this on two characters

I have this problem now also, i have 3 copies of myself atm which found as i was making my way back from a quick town stop for a quest.

The only thing i've done differently here is use my Rod of Recall twice which i hadn't used before, and that was to get me out quickly to complete Agrimley and The Last Hope hermit/alchemist quests.

Seems i can use the mouse to move but using the keyboard gives random results, once i even teleported to a random place in the dungeon.

My highest char so far so putting him on hold to see if a solution comes up.
