b38 paradox mage bugs

When wielding the firey Choker amult, sometimes the dimensional step spell fizzles... even if paradox is at 0.. tempory fix is to take it off, and put it back on.. sometimes this work, othertimes not..
another bug is that if you do manage to collect 1000 gp before getting the fortress, the dialog triggers to fix your rod of recall... am on my way to the fortress atm, and I hope it still allows me to start the quest as currently the quest is active, even though I am only at the lake of nun
