ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Okay, I don't know if this has been signaled before but anyway:

I was walking into the old forest area as a lev 17 TW and I got an escort quest from one of the guys that give the Providence talent as a quest reward. I got to a crossroads and figured I'd scout ahead and see what I'm up against. So I use precognition and see what's what, the duration expires and everything's normal, except.. there's now two guys I need to escort. One of them is following me normally and the other acts like a city guard or any other 'friendly' NPC, in that whenever I move onto its tile, we change places. Other than that he's immobile.

So I escort the guy who's following me, I get my reward and I wonder what would happen if I guide the other guy to the portal by changing places with him a bunch of times. A lot of digging through trees later (trying to clear a path), I get a second quest reward (no quest updates in the log though).

I'll try to reproduce it the next time I get an escort. For science! Definitely not for the extra reward, I don't know what you're talking about.

Later edit: I've been playing since then and I got 5 more escorts or so. None of them have bugged out. I am slightly disappointed

I'll have to remember this one the next time I am running a Chronomancy class... for science as well, of course.

I'm not sure I could resist the urge to strangle the escort with my own hands if I managed to get a second copy.
