Healing nexus

I am not sure if this is a bug or if I just do not understand the status effect.

I was auto exploring the Mino maze and stopped at a thief. Following is the log entries:

Code: Select all

Thief slows down.
Deadeye uses healing nexus.
Ran for 2 turns (stop reason: didn't move).
Deadeye hits thief for 19 physical, 6 nature. (Total 23.90)
The tooltip for the status effect Healing nexus (a power I do not have, but the thief does) says "All healing done to the target is instead redirected to Deadeye by 50%."

I'm not sure how this spell is supposed to work, but it seems like the thief cast something beneficial to me. Is this correct?

You hit it with an unarmed attack because you were either wielding nothing, or a ranged weapon. Your unarmed attack used your glove's attack stats, which are hidden from you, but the ego on your particular set of gloves has a chance to proc Healing Nexus.

The talent itself works pretty much how you'd expect it to work. You'll get a chance to read its talent description later in the game, or if you make a Wilder.

So some gloves have some sort of innate spell that can proc, but you can't see it in the description? I don't see the point in hiding that information.

Glove descriptions are usually just clutter, unless you are a brawler (in which case, they are shown). IMO a good solution would be to have stats displayed when "shift" or some other modifier is held down.

There -was- an addon that displayed glove stats regardless of class, but the bugfix addon broke it. :lol:
