[b37] Save lost after crash as if Blood of Life not used

Sorry if this has been reported before, not spotted a topic.
My system has been a bit unstable over the past few days for unknown but almost certainly un-ToME related reasons. It has crashed before while I was playing and I could always recover from the last autosave (eg when entering/leaving a dungeon). However, today my character died in the Rhaloren Camp dungeon and resurrected with Blood of Life (playing on Roguelike settings). My PC later crashed before I exited the dungeon (so no new autosave was created), and when I restarted and went to load I had no saves available, when I expected to find a save from before entering the dungeon. Under "View High Scores" the character is listed with the initial cause of death, despite resurrecting and progressing without a second death.
I can see how dying on Roguelike might need to wipe saves to prevent shenanigans - maybe force an autosave after you use Blood of Life? I dunno, I'm certainly not an expert on how the game works
