Shift+g to level up = close window immediately

Twice this has happened now, nonconsecutive. The game closes w/o any prompt or save.
The last time I (just now) I hit e, esc, shift+g (didn't mean to open inven) and the game just closed instantly, no save.
What is happening, and can I change the bindings to make it not?

Any advice? I'm afraid to ply the game now bc I keep losing progress. That last time I successful escorted an alchemist and gain 2 levels in 1 zone, and it close at the end, after the boss, putting me back outside...

Huh. Weird. Well, try remapping the keys? I've got my level up screen set to Shift+L.

That sounds like a hard crash, this.game asks are yu sure at least twice before quitting.
The level up screen is known to have addtioonal gpu instructions. Try updating screen drivers. Or perhaps a different ui. Simple may look simple but has transparency for.more gpu reduction. Either way try drivers first, ui second. Other than that... dunno
