Slow overworld and a clone of my character

I was in the old forest, level 3, I recalled to sell my junk. At this point movement in the world map got to be very slow. Upon returning to old forest, on the level 1 to level 2 exit there was a clone of my character standing there. Unable to get past it. Movement in the old forest was also lagged/slow.
