ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I just left dreadfall and was attacked by orcs ...
There was a lua error and now I cant leave that area.
Any way to continue that game?

Edit: ok - I can play on with that char, but the whole game seems to be bugged now:
all maps are reset to black and with rod of recall I come from far east back to May'Eyal ...
