Notice how there is a Mark of the Spell Blaze .teal file, but in game, it doesn't exist.

Maybe it has something to do with area transitions?

Yup, area transitions.

Started a fresh Cursed skeleton character, left the starter dungeon, noticed mark of the Spellblaze was there still, visited Last Hope, immediately left the town, then noticed the Mark of the Spellblaze was gone.

its gone from my games as well.

mark of spellblaze absent here too. so are the elven ruins and the ruined dungeon. playing a higher temporal warden.

I hate the disappearing areas... I went the better part of two months imagining that the game ended as soon as I beat dreadfall, the starting dungeons, and the into the darkness quest because of it when I just started.

I might have fixed it for b36, please keep your eyes open for it and when this happens please note exactly what you remember doing before (switching from which zones to which zones mainly)

I found a workaround for this problem! I'm not a programmer in the slightest, so its really simple. Backup all the level files in your save, like wilderness.teaz and all the other ones, but not your character files. Then delete them, start your game with a new map, find the mark of the spell blaze, enter, save, restore your old level files while IN the mark of the spell blaze.
